Benchmark is seeking to hire a Global Account Executive who will be responsible for managing our most strategic Aerospace and Defense relationships. The Global Account Executive is responsible for developing deep and trusted relationships which create broad based partnerships, enabling high-customer value and high business growth. 

The right leader oversees the development of the strategic account-based business plan; takes ownership for one or more customers on global basis and is responsible for selling as well as delivering a consistent customer engagement on a global basis. He/she ensures a strong collaboration across functional areas in order to effectively plan and execute activities and initiatives.

    The essential Global Account Executive duties and responsibilities for the role include: 


    • Setting Global Account strategy and direction that drives new Benchmark revenue. Oversee the creation and delivery of accurate quarterly and annual forecasts and account plan
    • Developing C-suite and executive relationships as well as deep multi-level and multi-functional relationships with our strategic customers. Determining key stakeholders and influencers for new business awards and qualifications
    • Understanding the customer’s business model and translating customer roadmap to Benchmark strategies. Developing offerings which support our customer’s go-to-market plans
    • Being an expert in the customer’s industry, understanding market trends and monetizing customer pain points via Benchmark solutions 
    • Planning and coordinating strategic roadmaps, including cost reductions activities and technology roadmaps to ensure timely deliverables and alignment with overall account objectives


    • Organizing Executive Business Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews 
    • Securing advance knowledge of all RFQ’s & opportunities. Driving needed solutions back through Benchmark operation. Manage the offering development for all RFQs to align with customer needs
    • Positioning Benchmark within the customer strategic suppliers and seek long-term market share agreements to secure future revenue
    • Administering and negotiate contracts including Long Term Market Agreements, Supply agreements, Partnership agreements, etc. This includes deployment of new customer driven programs, such as material related strategies, electronic interfaces, regulatory requirements, etc.
    • Serving as a primary customer point of contact, including serving as a site’s escalation point for customer to helping resolve issues in a timely manner
    • Coordinating Benchmark’s customer focus teams to ensure accurate and consistent information flow to customer and between Benchmark sites (including Delivery, Quality and Cost performance)

    Other Information/Qualifications

    The following characteristics and experience will describe the successful candidate: 

    • Experience in the EMS Industry is required.
    • Currently in an Account Management, Business Management, or Global Program Management in the EMS Industry, ideally supporting the Aerospace and Defense Sector
    • The ideal candidate possesses +10 years of progressively advancing responsibility in Business Development, Account Management and/or in a client centric senior role which includes regular engagement at an executive level
    •  Exceptional executive skills including organization, time management, team building, and verbal/written communication.
    • Strong experience with technology or manufacturing sales with increasing levels of responsibility
    • Deep experience and successful track record of success with Strategic Account Development including leading business development strategies, partnership strategies, and establishing meaningful value propositions which meet the unique needs of a strategic account
    • Willing to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50% of time


    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences or business; MBA is preferred
