Job Summary
Reports to the Senior Director, Internal Audit. Responsible for performing audits of IT processes and controls across the company, at the corporate level and at the individual site level. Teams with company IT leadership to develop a risk-based audit program that addresses both compliance requirements (i.e. SOX, CAS, DFARS, NIST) and general business considerations, including cyber security and access management. Communicates audit results to company leadership, including key findings and solutions to improve or change processes and systems to ensure security and compliance.

Essential Functions and Competencies

• Proven working knowledge of applicable auditing standards, laws, rules, and industry regulations
• Project management
• General business acumen, particularly in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated understanding of SOX IT general controls
• Thorough understanding of cyber security and data protection controls and risks
• Solid comprehension of ERP systems and architecture, data structures, and financial/operational applications used in a manufacturing environment, such as EDI
• Aerospace and Defense (A&D) industry experience, including understanding of CAS and DFARS requirements
• Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Perform all IT internal audit testing
• Assess company compliance with IT general control SOX requirements
• Coordinate with Senior Director-Internal Audit, company IT leadership, and external auditors (KPMG) to develop annual risk-based audit plan
• Understand company’s cyber security, data protection, data segmentation, network segmentation, cloud computing, and data backup initiatives, and incorporate testing of these initiatives into the annual IT audit plan
• Perform business process reviews from an IT perspective to help the company maximize the capabilities of its ERP system
• Ensure company’s IT and cybersecurity controls comply with applicable A&D industry IT requirements, including NIST 800-171Perform pre and post implementation reviews of company ERP system upgrades (Baan to LN)
• Communicate and train IT organization across locations on the controls framework and best practices for managing IT risk
•Team with IT senior leadership to offer input on periodic updates of the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• CISA certification is required. Additional IT certifications appreciated. Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in IT auditing, preferably some of which was in public accounting
• Prior experience auditing aerospace and defense (A&D) or government cost management IT systems and controls
• Prior experience with the NIST cybersecurity framework Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, or Finance is required.
