Job Summary Precision Technologies, a division of Benchmark Electronics, is seeking an experienced CMM Operator. In this role you will use quality measurement devices to measure, gage, or otherwise determine compliance to dimensional standards and prepare appropriate reports to document the product compliance. This function is primarily performed through the setup, programming & operation of the CMM.
Essential Functions and Competencies •3 yrs minimum experience with CMM programming & operation (PC DMIS experience preferred)
•Ability to read and interpret print requirements, including GD&T
•Ability to perform manual layout inspections
•Measuring experience using conventional metrology inspection tools i.e. calipers, micrometers, and basic hand tools.

Qualifications / Education / Experience •Program, setup, and operate Hexagon CMM equipment and other quality measurement devices.
•Maintain accurate records and documentation.
•Review results for accuracy and adequacy. Identify and segregate any nonconforming products.
•Work with quality, engineering and production to resolve issues and assist with root cause and corrective action.
•Troubleshoot and edit CMM programs to adjust for revision changes, improve program efficiency and accuracy of results.
•Document and perform first article inspections via AS9102, or other standards as required.
•Coordinate with contracted programmer as required.
•Maintain equipment by completing required calibration, preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and working with service when necessary.
•Serve as inspector in areas other than CMM as required.
• Work with machinists, production operators, engineers, metrology techs and mechanical inspectors programmer(s) to determine part and fixture designs.
•Responsible for qualification of CMM programs (Repeatability and Accuracy)
•Report quality improvement and cost savings initiatives as required
•Maintain quality & safety standards as well as equipment and supplies.
•Complete other Quality Projects as assigned.
•3 yrs minimum experience with CMM programming & operation (PC DMIS experience preferred)
•High school diploma or GED.
