Job Summary
Experienced CMM Programmer III - Precision Machining Division Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a CMM Programmer III for our Concord, CA location. Our client list is Original Equipment Manufacturers requiring precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor, Aerospace, Healthcare and Scientific Instrumentation markets.


Essential Functions and Competencies


• Read and understand blueprints
• Identify non-conformances based on inspection to customer requirements
• Effectively communicate, both verbally and written
• Handle multiple and changing priorities
• Respond to written and verbal instructions
• Obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and be willing to cross-train in other areas
• Participate in a continuous improvement activities
Qualifications / Education / Experience
CMM programming experience preferred
• Is cross-trained in all mechanical inspection operations and/or is a specialist in one or more of the more involved processes
• Is able to use a wide variety of mechanical inspection equipment
• Can create and execute inspection plans
• Has experience in surface plate layout and precision mechanical measuring tool use.
• Works with moderately complex processes and more difficult customer’s expectations- able to use more independent judgment with some oversight by supervision
• Serves as a mentor to lesser skilled employees
• Determines acceptance or rejection of products based on requirements
• Works with supervision on duties and tasks, selecting from written instructions and established procedures
• Completes all required documents and maintains records that pertain to quality control Min 5 years working with inspection processes. Proficient in the use of computers with a minimum of intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel. 4 years recent CMM experience. B&S preferred (PCDIMS) What we need from you: High School Diploma or GED; ability to read, write, perform basic-intermediate math; ability to perform moderate-complex inspection
