Job Summary
Precision Technologies, a division of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. Precision Technologies Tempe is looking for a CNC Programmer generates CNC Programs utilized in the manufacturing of small (3” cube) to large (60” cube) machined components on Turning Centers, 3, 4 and 5 axis Machining Centers and Grinders. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include:
•Precision CNC Milling and Turning
•Precision 5-Axis of Close Tolerance (Micron level)
•Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room)
•Functional testing
•CMM Capabilities Summary This position provides Manufacturing Engineering support for 5-axis grinding of turbine engine components from NPI through all phases of production. This will include working as part of an Integrated Program Team including Program Management, Materials, Production, and Quality functions to promote an efficient and well organized manufacturing operation.


Essential Functions and Competencies

Program wide variety of CNC controls and equipment.
•Has experience in a variety of metal alloys including Aluminum, Alloy Steel, Stainless, Titanium and nickel alloys. Creates and executes work instructions (MOT’s). Works with moderately complex processes and high customer expectations. Uses independent judgment with minimum oversight by supervision. Abel to work in an collaborative team environment. Mentors to lesser skilled employees. Works with supervision on duties and tasks, selecting from written instructions and established procedures. Min 5 years working with Programming and machining processes. Proficient in the use of computers with a minimum of intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
The successful candidate will Utilize SolidWorks and MasterCam in providing accurate CNC Programs to factory floor within prescribed timeframe. Prescribes tooling, design fixtures, creates setup sheets and work instructions as required. Effectively communicates, both verbally and written. Handles multiple and changing priorities. Responds to written and verbal instructions. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Minimum 5 years recent CNC Programming experience required. High speed machining experience on multiple pallet machines is required. Offline programming experience is required, providing accurate and optimized programs with 100% first pass yield. High School Diploma or GED; ability to read, write, and possess intermediate math skills.
