Essential Functions and Competencies


•Understand the fundamentals and principles of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering.
•Knowledge of Quality Systems – Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Lean Master or greater is strongly preferred
•Must have previous functional management experience – preferred within similar environment
•Experienced in change management, project management (PMP a plus), and financial tools with demonstrated leadership, team building and business acumen.
•Strong skills in financial analysis and knowledge of statistics and statistical control tools.
•Must be able to transform Lean Six Sigma applications into “verifiable and validated” process improvements and ensure that applications align with the corporate strategy.
•Advanced PC skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
Position Responsibilities Develop Global Lean Six Sigma enhancement, deployment strategy and implementation plan
•Develop and execute Global Lean Six Sigma program and deployment strategy
•Create and ensure an effective evaluation system of all worldwide sites in their lean deployment and maturity. The Lean Maturity assessments are to provide strong recommendations for immediate improvements to Lean Six Sigma Deployment strategies and improvement plans.
•Create and ensure an effective system for Best Practice sharing and replication at all sites.
•Provide Lean Six Sigma consulting capabilities and services to Commercial, Capability, and Strategy organizations to build Lean Six Sigma excellence across the enterprise.
•Create lean consulting and training capabilities for commercialization and collaborating that leads to new revenue streams.
•Lead the enhancement and training of Lean Bronze, Silver, Gold and Six Sigma Green and Black Belt certification.
•Ensure alignment and synchronization of Lean Six Sigma mission/vision/purpose that support business plans
•Manage and direct site Lean Managers and Directors
•Be proficient in lean tools and processes to share knowledge on a worldwide platform Direct and facilitate organizational design to foster the Lean Six Sigma methodologies and culture
•Ensure the on-boarding of new Lean Six Sigma Managers to create a standard Lean Six Sigma Deployment Strategy
•Ensures that Lean Six Sigma Managers are implementing the Lean principles, techniques and methodologies according to corporate requirements
•Provide support, coaching and mentoring for enabling Site Lean Six Sigma Managers
•Explore new metrics and measurable achievements to monitor progress in quality, velocity and cost reductions
•Identify and compare the characteristics and performance standards of world-class Lean Six Sigma organizations to Benchmark’s Lean Six Sigma transformation in order to identify improvement and enhancement opportunities within the company. Eliminate barriers by enabling effective communication about Lean Six Sigma strategy & deployment
•Communicate Benchmark’s Lean Six Sigma vision and strategy to the organization
•Communicate a sense of urgency throughout the organization around the need for “Continuous Improvement”
•Foster respect for people and humility as they mentor and coach others on their Lean journey. Confers with executives and management on implementation plans and recommendations Internal/External spokesperson for Benchmark Lean Six Sigma
•Identify and establish relationships with leading Lean Consultants
•Maintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking and participation in Lean conferences and organizations and maintaining personal certifications in Lean applications

10 years work-related experience in Manufacturing Management, Engineering Management or Project Management required.


•BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or related Technical discipline
•Lean Master and Enterprise Certification required
•Six Sigma Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in the industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
