Job Summary
As the Director of Global IT Operations, you will lead IT Operations to ensure our domestic and international site based technology infrastructure and operations are reliable, available, scalable and secure. You will work daily with the business, IT architecture & implementation teams and technology partners in coordinating a high availability, secure infrastructure to support our business.


Essential Functions and Competencies


• Working knowledge of the underlying technical underpinnings of networks, MS Exchange, storage solutions, VoiP phones and managing complex enterprise systems is required; experience with Baan/ERP is an advantage
• Strong international experience in deploying regional solutions, extending enterprise solutions into the international zone, supporting help desk internationally, understanding international security concerns and regulations
• Ability to think strategically while at the same time display the ability to understand enough detail to work with and guide service providers, staff and vendors to manage the day to day activities of the organization
• Has a strong technical vision and knowledge of industry trends and directions that can help the team and organization make good tactical and long range decisions and choices
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Fiscally responsible with experience in managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and streamlining services
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Empower, engage, and lead a global team of highly skilled team members to achieve outstanding results for our sites
• Develop the strategic direction and roadmap for Benchmarks end user productivity services, (service desk, end user computing, etc). for the enterprise
• Develop/improve current standards and policies, ensure infrastructure compliance with required standards and regulations
• Take a leadership position in engaging and educating the global site teams on enhancing our Cyber security readiness processes and controls.
• Evolve processes and structure to support systems change management, access controls, IT controls management ensuring high system availability
• Establish and maintain a structured service delivery environment and manage the overall organization, vendor relationships and technologies to achieve or exceed established service levels
• Provide outstanding customer service via the IT Service Desk, continually striving to improve service while maintaining a cost-conscious approach, complete global deployment of standardized service desk systems and metrics
• Represent Benchmark IT in various audits by regulatory entities as required 10+ years progressive IT experience, with at least 6 years of directly managing international IT infrastructure and workforce; experience within complex manufacturing environments with global uptime and availability is required Bachelor’s Degree required
