Job Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Design and document electronic hardware for customer products and related electronics, with management direction, to meet both the customers’ requirements and manufacturing requirements

•Provide assistance to the Mechanical Design, PCB Design, Functional Test and ICT test for product, test and tooling development

•Perform evaluation of quality measurements on electronic designs in accordance with a verification plan

•Create documentation related to an electronic design project

•Contact and work with hardware, software and equipment vendors

•Follow project plan; Report project status to leadership

•Assist in the coordination of electronic hardware engineering strategies for customers

•Assist in project proposals and associated cost estimates

•Participate in the development of advanced/new technologies

•Participate in research and development for new design methods and tools

•Assist with Design for Excellence (DFX) reviews and create necessary documentation

•Develop an understanding of DFX philosophy and promote with customers

•With management guidance, work with customers to understand requirements regarding a product design

•Communicate with customer technical personnel regarding technical issues

•Work with Sustaining Engineering (product, process, test and quality) to develop products that leverage manufacturing and test processes

•Communicate technical challenges and work with peers to create and implement solutions

    •Participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format

    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

    •4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management

      •0-5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software

      • Able to provide proof of US Citizenship - ITAR facility
