Job Summary
RF Design Engineer - Responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products. Position based in the Tijuana, Mexico Facility.

Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Design and document electronic hardware for customer products, and related electronics, to meet both the customers’ requirements and internal manufacturing requirements
• Provide assistance and interact with Mechanical Design, PCB Design, Functional Test and In-Circuit Test for product, test and tooling development
• Develop and follow project plan; Gather status and report project status to leadership and the customer
• Provide sub-project level or full smaller scale project leadership and organization, as required, for multiple concurrent projects, mentoring and training for engineers
• Deploy processes and systems within the workgroup
• Develop project proposals and associate cost estimates
• Work with internal manufacturing support groups to understand the requirements of the production environment
• Work with customers to understand customer requirements regarding a product design
• Provide research and development for new design methods and tools under management guidance
• Participate in identification and development of advanced/new technologies
• Drive design/development related business discussions on internal customer team(s)
• Perform portions of and lead Design for Excellence (DFX) efforts; Create necessary documentation
• Communicate technical challenges and implement solutions where possible and as required
• Lead or participate in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation, including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format

- 5+ years of experience in RF design and development - Knowledge in the design software FHSS and/ or CST. - Ability to travel to customer sites, including outside the US. - Bilingual in Spanish desire - Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills - Ability to work at the Tijuana Mexico plant. May reside in San Diego. -

- 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
