Job Summary
Lark RF Technology (a Benchmark Company) is hiring an Integration and Test Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. Lark RF Technology is building an Engineering Design Center of Excellence in Phoenix, AZ. This design center will provide radio solutions to external customers and also serve as a central radio design hub for each of the divisions within Benchmark.

Essential Functions and Competencies

• Experience with automated testing and developing test strategies and test frameworks of complex RF subsystems using either LabVIEW, Python, C#, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated years of creating test plans and test cases, while maintaining and updating them based on project requirements.
• Experience with standard RF lab equipment like PNA/VNA, Spec An, Signal Generator, VSA, PLL Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.
• Working knowledge of RF performance parameters such as SNR, NF, Phase Noise, Distortion, Psat, etc. and a willingness to propose solutions and help with the debug effort.
• Expertise in data mining using Tableau, MicroStrategy, Spotfire, or Excel: your value add will be your ability to not only gather data, but sort through it, make sense of what it’s saying about the system, and then propose solutions, all in a concise manner.
• Experience with building the software infrastructure for data collection, storage, retrieval, and presentation using Python, SQL, or similar environments.
• Experience mentoring test engineering interns, entry level engineers and less experienced test engineers.
• Demonstrated leadership capability, team-building, and an articulate presenter
Qualifications / Education / Experience
As an Integration and Test Engineer, you will be part of a team tasked with building the automation platform that is used for testing, validating, characterizing, debugging, and continually optimizing our rapidly expanding portfolio of military and commercial wireless products. Working with peers in the RF and High-Speed Design team, this person will:
• Create and ensure maximum system level test coverage with minimal test costs while guaranteeing full compliance to customer specifications.
• Provide test capability input early in design reviews to ensure testability of key metrics.
• Lead test data reviews and work with the designers to continuously optimize for maximum specification margin. Focus will be on integrating and testing RF subsystems using well established processes in a team oriented environment. This will involve the creation and execution of test plans as well as test case automation. Working within a culture that invites input from everyone, the Integration and Test Engineer should also identify and propose emerging solutions that can be integrated into project designs early in the design cycle to enhance performance. Must equally enjoy coding and working with hardware both in a development and production setting. Work experience with testing digital communication systems using various modulation types is a plus. Work experience with testing phased array antennas and systems or performing radiated measurements in an anechoic chamber is also a plus. Work experience with testing radar transmit-receive modules or systems is a plus. 1. Advanced Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred, with at least 5 years of hands-on industry experience in building automation platforms in an RF environment.
