Job Summary
Precision Technologies Tempe has an extensive capability in mechanical manufacturing. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include:
• Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning
• Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades
• Close Tolerance (Micron level) Instrumentation Grinding
• Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved
• Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room)
• Functional testing
• Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities The Expeditor II position performs expediting assignments required to follow-up the procurement, movement and processing of materials, supplies and equipment for an assigned department.


Essential Functions and Competencies


• Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Effective interpersonal skills with co-workers and customers.
• Participate in a continuous improvement activity.
• Able to work overtime requests when needed.
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Follows-up and expedites procurement of material through Procurement Department, support departments, etc. to ensure that orders are available on the required date.
• Daily communication, both written and verbal, with vendors and internal buyers.
• Maintains records, charts, graphs, logs and progress reports as required.
• Assists in preparation of regular and special reports, inventories, etc. for both internal and external analysis.
• Performs miscellaneous stock acquisition duties as required.
• Assists higher classified Expeditors.
• May pick up/deliver urgently required material and equipment.
• Able to perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above
• Ensures that all ECOs are incorporated at the right effectivity.
• Prepares regular and special reports, inventories, etc. for both internal and external analysis.
• Guides the work of lower level Expeditors to satisfy the procurement/movement of material to support customer requirements.
• Notifies management of any issues that may impact schedules.
• Assists in the training of lower classified Expeditors.
