Essential Functions and Competencies

  • Be available “on-call” during non-work hours as necessary in support of critical equipment repairs.
  • Provide input as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • May on occasion represent the company pertaining to equipment or waste with the local city or other government representatives.
  • Support the Quality System implementation by writing or reviewing specifications as required.
  • Prepare internal and external reports to document any non-compliance events.
  • Participate in the development of capital budget recommendations.
  • Provide support to waste treatment and chemical reclaim processes.

Qualifications / Education / Experience
  • Maintain a record of equipment status using an equipment maintenance log.
  • Maintain an effective equipment calibration schedule utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Ensure all equipment repairs, removal and installations are made in accordance with acceptable safety practices.
  • Prioritize maintenance to support production process demands and to minimize unscheduled equipment down time.
  • Develop a preventive maintenance schedule in order to ensure operational capability and maximize manufacturing capacity.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and usage of all spare parts or components in support of equipment repair.
  • Develop a repair tracking process in the form of work instructions, incorporating continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Participate in the selection and qualification of new equipment requirements.
  • Make recommendations for manuals and spare parts.


Required:
    This individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily relative to job knowledge, skills, and/or ability required to support the above noted tasks. Employee will be expected to be able to see, hear, and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
    Education and/or Experience should be having received a technical degree from a two year college or institute, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Language Skills:
    This individual should have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations pertaining to equipment or facility requirements. The individual must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, customers, and other individuals as needed.
Reasoning Ability:
    The individual should have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions pertaining to equipment or facility issues.


Education and/or Experience should be having received a technical degree from a two year college or institute, or equivalent combination of education or experience.
