Job Summary
Machine Operator I Precision Technologies, a division of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. has an extensive capability in mechanical manufacturing. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include:
• Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning
• Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades
• Close Tolerance (Micron level) Instrumentation Grinding
• Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved
• Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room)
• Functional testing
• Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities The Machine Operator will work under close direction of experienced operators or a Production Team Leader, operates the CNC equipment in order to perform the tasks necessary to manufacture machined parts.

• May operate automatic and semi-automatic equipment as required (selective solder machine, wave machine, leaded insertion machine)
• Works with and trains diverse groups.
• Accepts opportunities to train on new equipment and to cross-train into other site operations, as needed.
• Participates in continuous improvement activity.
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Reads and follows assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacture of PCBs and/or systems .
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production.
• Responds to written and verbal instructions.
• Obtains certifications on assigned equipment
• Maintains a clean work environment and follow all company policies and practices regarding safety and material handling.
• Uses cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor. Recognizes all part markings including speed and values (ohms).
• Assists with line changeover.
• Identifies feeder by size and type in SMT equipment.
• Demonstrates the use of cross-reference tools available to identify part numbers, descriptions, and vendor.
• Removes hazardous waste at the end of each shift and put in waste storage area, check to see that labels are present and closes containers when not in use.
• Continuously maintains a clean machine.
• May be involved with hazardous waste handling duties

Ability to operate basic entry level machines such as Selective Solder, Wave, Feeder load; Axial/Radial

High School Diploma or GED; ability to read, write, perform basic math.
