Job Summary
Installs and removes mechanical and electrical components in assemblies and sub-assemblies. May troubleshoot failed assemblies to determine corrective action.

Essential Functions and Competencies

• Individual position performance goals may be specific to the position, business segment or as it related to an individual’s contribution or employment within the organization.
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Use hand tools, working in a team with other assemblers and support departments, to ensure products’ timely completion with high quality standards
• Perform inspection of own work in immediate work area
• Maintain adequate supplies and a neat and orderly work area
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of our customers’ products and documentation
• May become involved with product testing
• Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations as appropriate
• Cross-trained in all operations and/or is a specialist in at least one of the more involved processes
• Work with moderately complex processes and more difficult customer’s expectations- able to use more independent judgment with some oversight by supervision
• Work with more complex product testing
• Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees
• Work on most difficult assemblies and may be consulted for recommendations for process improvements by engineering or management
• Recognized as area expert in being able to perform and train in all or specialized production and testing operations
• Troubleshoot all levels of problems through testing and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Has wide latitude for using independent judgment with minimal supervisory oversight
• May work with customers as required
• Serve as a mentor as well as a back-up to the Team Leader or supervisor in their absence
• All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction. 10+ years in a lead role with all processes or a specialized knowledge in more than one function
• High School Diploma or GED
