Job Summary
Product Configuration Technician II with our Quality Team

Location: Rochester, MN

Supports Configuration Management function with verification of a variety of data that is integral to customer product builds.


Essential Functions and Competencies
  • Card Goals which will include but not limited to Financial Performance, Customer Satisfaction, Operational Excellence and Employee Focus.
  • Individual position performance goals may be specific to the position, business segment or as it related to an individual’s contribution or employment within the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
  • Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers and customers
  • Participate in a continuous improvement activity
  • Ability to work overtime requests when needed
  • See job analysis forms for specific physical stressors of the job
  • Perform Approved Manufacturer List (AML) and Bills of Material (BOM) compares
  • Create BOMs and part numbers using the database to maintain customer documentation
  • Review customer documentation for accuracy, clarity and compatibility with Company processes
  • May create less complex Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Download customer data via e-mail, customer database accounts or FTP, as required
  • Obtain documents from Reprographics to build product, as required
  • File all related documentation
  • All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

    Level I 0-3+ years of experience Level II 4+ years of configuration/documentation experience of more complex customer activity and the ability to effectively mentor coworkers

    2 year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management
