Essential Functions and Competencies Take full manufacturing responsibility, leading products through prototype, pilot and production builds
• Oversee the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders
• Use statistical tools to lead quality improvement within the customer team
• Drive internal and external corrective action plans
• Actively participate in new product and customer development
• Analyze line return information to understand and drive corrective actions on manufacturing process issues
• Perform product level FMEAs as required
• Assist in developing project proposals and associated cost estimates
• Execute product’s transitional manufacturing requirements and process approaches
• Develop in-depth knowledge of customer’s products as required to support product’s transitional activity
• Review current department procedures and practices for quality and efficiency *Interface directly with customers, vendors and internal production and support groups to maximize the efficient flow of product through production *key contributor for recommending cost reduction initiatives to production
Qualifications / Education / Experience 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferably in Contract Manufacturing *Demonstrated success working with customers and vendors *Significant contributions in a LEAN manufacturing environment *Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills *Ability to work weekends and off-shifts as needed *Possess effective prioritization and organizational skills with particular attention to detail *Possess and understanding of manufacturing systems and tooling development *Demonstrate ability to work independently or on teams 4 years Engineering or Technical degree or equivalent directly related experience and qualifications
