Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded QUALITY Engineer III for our Tempe, AZ location. Our client list reads like a “Who’s Who” of Original Equipment Manufacturers requiring precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor, Healthcare and Scientific Instrumentation markets.
Essential Functions and Competencies Qualification:
•Strong knowledge of GD&T and Print reading.
•Good understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9001) related to manufacturing and quality.
•In-depth understanding of manufacturing process quality controls and the ability to document and implement the requirements.
•Hands on statistical experience with Minitab and Excel to perform data analysis.
•Proficiency with Precision Inspection Tools, Auditing Techniques, and Quality Data Monitoring.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills
•Experience with customer interaction to support customer visits and audits.
•Machining and Metal process experience preferred.
Qualifications / Education / Experience •Plan, direct, and coordinate to ensure that assigned products are manufactured to meet all customer specifications and expectations.
•Manage quality metrics for assigned product, manufacturing area, or programs.
•Develop comprehensive Quality Plans to assure program or product quality objectives and customer requirements are satisfied.
•Participate in the APQP process with the objective of developing and maintaining product specific Control Plans, PFMEA, and related documentation (forms, audit sheets, test reports, work instructions, etc.)
•Track and resolve quality issues with customers, internal stakeholders and suppliers, including managing MRB/RTV process, dispositions products and customer complaints through root cause analysis.
•Develop and executes action plan to address discrepancies; communicates with the site cross-functional team and customers as required.
•Approve and submit First Article/PPAP/ Qualification Plans and Reports in support of program or product requirements to customers.
•Support, as necessary, incoming, in-process, and inspection/testing, including equipment calibration.
•Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
•Perform problem solving/ continual improvement activities where process or product quality is deficient.
•Attend both internal and external meetings as support
•Builds productive internal/external working relationships with various cross-functional team.
•Communicates and resolves QA issues with Supplier Quality Team as required.
•Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
•Investigates and thoroughly understands developments in quality assurance codes and standards.
•Setting daily/weekly priorities. Other duties as assigned by manager.
•Has the responsibility to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met.
•Initiate and lead quality improvements of moderate scope. What would really impress us:
