Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded Quality Technician III for our Fremont, CA location. You’ll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our aggressive growth strategy by supporting our quality department.


Essential Functions and Competencies

Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Maintains Process Feedback (PFS) data and tables and provides ongoing support to all PFS users.
• Must know how to do “bubble drawing”
• Must know how to do First Article.
• Analyzes data and resolves discrepancies.
• Completes test yield charts, Defects Per Unit (DPU) charts, etc. in support of quality engineers
• Provides ongoing Quality System administrative support in the training area, on-line documentation and internal audit program.
• Maintains critical item lists in support of Quality Engineers.
• Develops and maintains Opportunities for Error (OFE) for all assemblies.
• Provides Parts per Million (PPM) reporting and analysis for all products.
• Notifies departments when reviews are due
• Reviews inspection and test reports for areas of process improvement.
• May PM equipment and process/equipment troubleshooting.
• Communicates quality data to employees and management.
• Must know how to run CMM,
• Must know how to use calipers and gages.
• Assists with ECO sign-off.
• Able to train effectively diverse groups.
• Good analytical skills.

8+ years’ experience, can provide various levels of engineer quality work; ASQ certification; 3+ years in a leadership role Local candidates only, please, and we welcome applicants that will help contribute to our diverse workforce. This Quality technician will verify processes and manufacturing instructions to produce quality product that meets customers’ requirements. Performs data collection, analysis and data verification and charts and graph preparation.
• 2 year engineering or technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management;
