Answer all incoming calls on multi-line telephone system; transfer calls or page employees as needed Greet customers, vendors, visitors and job applicants in a friendly, professional manner Maintain position coverage in the main lobby desk except as relieved for breaks Assist in distributing and retrieving ESD protective wear/devices and safety glasses from visitors Ensure all visitors have BEI escorts before entering the main plant area Provide employment applications to walk-in job candidates Provide special administrative support to various departments and maintain confidentiality of this information Secure the reception area at the close of each shift May coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and operate equipment related to such processing May coordinate ordering and distribution of office supplies and operate duplicating, faxing and other general office equipment All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer S

Qualifications / Education / Experience
Under general supervision, answers all incoming calls on the multi-line telephone system, transfers calls, pages employees, greets customers, vendors and visitors and provides applicants with employment applications. May substitute in other departments or contribute to project work with guidance. May also do mail sorting, operation of machines related to document reproduction, faxing, etc. Also may inventory office MRO (envelopes, pens, inks, folders, etc.).

High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 months to 1 year in company receptionist or telephone operator role.
