Job Summary
Supports management of assigned contracts and subcontracts – establishes priorities, sets goals and monitors progress to assure objectives are properly and timely supported, as well as other assigned responsibilities. Serves as a contracts and subcontracts subject matter expert on contracts administration. Works cross-functionally to develop and implement contract management controls at the site level.

Essential Functions and Competencies

• Reviews bids and proposals to ensure they meet company contracts management policy.
• Reviews, negotiates and supports business units in administration of contracts, subcontracts and other contractual documentation and coordinates with other professionals, where applicable, on such activities.
• Supports business units in commercial and Department of Defense contracts involving contract types including FFP, T&M and CPFF.
• Participates in contract negotiations and modifying non-standard contracts.
• Identifies contract issues and responds to a variety of complex inquiries while providing or developing innovative solutions.
• Advises business unit management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
• Maintains an awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on contracts, including export considerations.
• Makes presentations as required and acts as a contact with customers and outside organizations.
• Provides direction/training to professional or technical staff on contract matters.
• Ensure that all contract files are current, complete and fully documented and in compliance with federal and company policies, procedures and records retention regulations.
• Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Experience negotiating and administering moderately complex customer or supply chain contracts.
• Understanding of contract terms and conditions while interpreting and applying the Federal Administration Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Administration Regulations Supplements (DFARS) and the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a contracts or subcontracts role.
• Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with demonstrated effective customer interface skills.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence individuals, internally and externally, across all levels, functions and geographies.
• Collaborate and influence cross functional peer leaders in order to obtain support for process improvements.
• Ability to work with diverse groups as well as independently exercising discretion and independent judgment.
• Use of discretion with the ability to gain trust of business leaders and others to discuss and respond to sensitive and business critical issues.
• Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Effective multitasking skills with the ability to manage time and competing priorities with minimal supervision, including handling several assignments concurrently.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service and client focus
• Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products and WebEx conferencing software Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required, or combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
