SI Assembler III

Job Summary
Full time position on 1st shift, 6AM to 4PM - Monday through Thursday
• Access the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment
• Verify kits, enter Batch lot information, package and label accessory items according to documented instructions
• Use appropriate mats and all required tooling
• Check equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance
• Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision
• May assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies
• Notify leadership of any shut down situations
• Enter data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and link subassemblies to final unit
• Enter quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required
• All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction. Level II
• Perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above
• Mentor and assist lesser qualified operators
• Build subassemblies and add labels per manufacturing instructions and schematic drawings
• Perform systems integration specific hand solder and inspection operations per documented instructions
• Perform F-cert function to ensure final units have passed through all necessary operations
• Perform final inspection of unit to ensure there are no visible defects or finger prints and wipe down unit as needed
• Add user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc. per documented instructions
• May assist manufacturing engineering in basic prototype and pre-production builds
• Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under moderate supervision
• Mentor other co-workers in assembly activities Level III
• Perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble units in certified repair operations
• Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
• Issues general production supplies, tooling, equipment and labels to other production co-workers and fills out necessary paperwork and enters transactions into the system
• Prepares and packages boards for transfer between buildings per process instructions
• Stocks sub-assemblies from the production floor and enters location into the system
• Utilizes computer to look up missing parts, supplies and reels
• Utilizes computer to search for and issue alternates for parts shortages and notifies requestor of findings
• Completes and submits shortage form for part shortages where no alternate can be found
• Delivers sub-assemblies and kits to the production floor or pages responsible party to pick up at the cage
• Logs and delivers first operation Manufacturing Orders (MO’s)
• High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years of SI experience
