Job Summary

Business Development has always been a Corporate structured entity but is now being reorganized at the Division level domestically for a much stronger market impact. You will be at the very core for reward and recognition for your efforts in a very exciting time of transformation for both the Corporation and the Division. This position responsibilities will include Corporate Benchmark Business development technical sales and support for Aerospace and defense while supporting the manufacturing, design and Build-to-Print services in addition to supporting the Telecom, Robotics, precision machining and medical sectors.


Essential Functions and Competencies

Develop, deploy and execute Divisional market strategies and operational plans, including sustainable growth targets that achieve financial goals.
•Maintain a deep knowledge of the market and region (trends, needs, competitors, etc.) working closely with distribution, competitive knowledge and product areas.
•Establish appropriate partnerships, relationships and processes to ensure that the plan is aggressively executed.
•Analyze and understand customer business strategies, future product plans, expansion, outsourcing activities and align and position Benchmark to win mutually beneficial business.
•Develop new accounts and maintain current accounts in the development and execution of roadmaps.
•Develop and establish plans to achieve booking targets at margin profiles as identified in strategic plan.
•Close sales!!
Qualifications / Education / Experience

•Proven experience in the RF and Microwave engineering, business development, marketing and sales and/or account management with a track record of developing new customers and winning new business.
•Good understanding of RF/MW filters and components preferred.
•High degree of business and financial acumen as well as sound decision making.
•Experience in creating strategies and business plans and in assessing market and business opportunities to achieve targeted results.
•Strong understanding of commercial and/or Defense contracts and savvy negotiating skills.
•Proven ability and track record of interfacing with and developing relationships with customers.
•Demonstrated competence to successfully build relationships and influence senior level management, executives and key clients. 7-10 years in RF and Microwave designs, Defense/commercial, medical and Telecommunications a plusBachelor's degree preferred in a technical discipline, business or marketing
