Job Summary
Precision Technologies, the CNC MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded Planning Supervisor for our Concord, CA location. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our Capabilities Include:
• Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling
• Functional testing and Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring.


Essential Functions and Competencies



Essential Functions and Competencies
• Manages the establishment and maintenance of production capacity plans based on material availability, customer expectations, production capabilities and human resource planning.
• Ensures the integrity of capacity models by tracking historical performance of production actuals to quoted capacities and recommends modifications as required.
• Performs capacity simulations as required. Communicates the results and finalized realistic plan acceptable to affected areas.
• Prepares and publishes capacity reports for all critical work centers on a weekly basis.
• Works closely with Master Scheduling to ensure planning schedules do not exceed actual capacities.
• Manages the development of production lead time charts, kit release schedules and a balanced flow of work.
• Recommends material planning adjustments based on the analysis of lead times and marketplace trends as required.
• Manages the most cost effective material lot sizes based on inventory turn objectives, processing requirements and production requirements.
• Interfaces with all concerned functions to maintain a continuous flow of information, corrects problems/discrepancies, and implements changes/adjustments.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
