Job Summary
Provides support and debug for test processes in manufacturing.
•Perform debug and test assemblies to component level, as able, utilizing block diagrams and schematics
•Perform tester maintenance and upkeep
•Aid operator in troubleshooting problems, as able
•Provide training and ongoing support to the Test operators
•Communicate problems to proper senior Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or leader
•Develop skills and knowledge with test platform(s)
•Comply with quality assurance policies and methodologies; develop and strong quality orientation
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards (daily use of ESD and safety protective devices: eye protection, smock, and foot straps)

•Ability to become proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)

Qualifications / Education / Experience

•Aid leadership by recommending improvements in test processes and debug techniques
•Debug medium complexity assemblies to component level
•Provide feedback to leadership regarding product flow and work sequence
•Document improved debug techniques
•Provide training and mentorship to Test Operators
•Monitor production processes and test systems to decrease No Defects Found (NDF’s)
•Perform tester maintenance and up-keep and recommend improvements to test process
•Provide training and mentorship to Test Operators
•Debug moderate to semi-complex electronic assemblies to component level
•Troubleshoot operator problems successfully, work with leadership on training and process improvements
•Provide training and mentorship to Test Operators and Technicians
•Communicate technical information regarding Test with Test Engineers, Customers and Account Management
•Assist in defining experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
•Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas
•Perform Engan screening before escalation to the Principal Test Technician or Test Engineer
•Specify additional equipment needs for the product debug areas and assist in the implementation and training of the equipment
•Assume full ownership of Test equipment, communicating problems/improvements as needed
•Drive definition and implementation of experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
•Assist test engineers with troubleshooting and debugging test and systems software for ICT and functional tests
•Assist test engineers and lead the debug efforts in support of the planning and execution of experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
•5+ years of experience in test/debug of moderate to complex electronic assemblies to component level
•Become proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
•Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to develop basic creative solutions
•Demonstrate an understanding of Test Measurement and Debug Techniques
•Ability to debug and troubleshoot a test platform, including the software and hardware
•2 year technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
