Essential Functions and Competencies

You’ll have the opportunity to be an integral part of our aggressive growth strategy by working on a successful and fast-paced equipment manufacturing team. You’ll work with a close-knit manufacturing team to ensure our products meet and exceed customers’ contract manufacturing requirements. You'll provide support and debug for test processes in manufacturing. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate as a proactive member of a Continuous Process Improvement Team, shoring up your ability to move forward with CI initiatives. Above all, you’ll work with some of the most prominent people in the industry who love to train the right people.
• Performs debug and test of assemblies as able to component level utilizing block diagrams and schematics.
• Performs tester maintenance and upkeep.
• Aids operator in troubleshooting problems as able.
• Training and ongoing support to the Test operators.
• Communicates problems to proper senior Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or leader.
• Develop skills and knowledge with test platform(s).
• Complies with quality assurance policies and methodologies; develops and strong quality orientation.
• Maintains a clean, safe, work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards (daily use of ESD and safety protective devices: eye protection, smock, and foot straps).
Qualifications / Education / Experience
Precision Technologies, the MECHANICAL MANUFACTURING division of Benchmark Electronics, is looking for a career-minded TEST TECHNICIAN II for our Concord, CA location. Our client list reads like a “Who’s Who” of Original Equipment Manufacturers requiring precision mechanical production capabilities including close-tolerance machining and electromechanical clean room assembly. Our product lines include equipment for the Semiconductor and Scientific Instrumentation markets.
• Able to become proficient in debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment involving Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
• Demonstrates basic analytical skills
• Basic understanding of Test Measurement and Debug Techniques
• Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as, presentation skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Effective multitask skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
• Effective organization and prioritization skills
• Demonstrates high attention to detail
• Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company
• Works with diverse groups
• Supports a 24/7 global business operation as required
• Able to work overtime when needed
• Participates in a continuous improvement activity

• Demonstrates the ability to use a volt meter, power supply, and oscilloscope What we need from you:
• 2 year technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management; 5+ years experience in test/debug of moderate-complex electronic assemblies to component level
