Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Aerospace, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include:
• Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning
• Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades
• Close Tolerance (Micron level) Instrumentation Grinding
• Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved
• Complex Electro-Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room)
• Functional testing
• Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities Precision Technologies - Tempe is seeking an experienced and motivated Test Technician to support the Assembly Clean Room and provide support and debug for test processes in manufacturing.


Essential Functions and Competencies


• Proficient in moderate-semi-complex debug techniques on electronic assemblies/subassemblies in a manufacturing environment.
• Understands moderately complex Test Measurement and Debug Techniques.
• Debugs and troubleshoots current test platforms including the software and hardware.
• Understands BEI test systems and processes.
• Understands hardware and software of complex test platforms.
• Solid problem solving and debugging skills with ability to develop creative solutions.
• Effective multitask skills and ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Test and Measurement debug techniques.
• Will be self-motivated and have the ability and desire to learn new procedures and techniques.
• Able to work under limited supervision
• Proficient understanding of ICT and Functional Theory and Debug Techniques.
• Debugs and troubleshoots ICT and Functional Testers.
• Proficient programming knowledge for ICT and Functional Test Equipment.
• Demonstrates thorough understanding of Benchmark systems
• Demonstrates advanced debug and problem solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions
Qualifications / Education / Experience

• Debugs moderate to semi-complex complex electronic assemblies to component level utilizing block diagrams and schematics.
• Performs tester maintenance and upkeep.
• Aids operator in troubleshooting problems as able.
• Training and ongoing support to the Test operators.
• Communicates problems to proper senior Test Technician, Test Engineer and/or leader.
• Develop skills and knowledge with test platform(s).
• Complies with quality assurance policies and methodologies; develops and strong quality orientation.
• Maintains a clean, safe, work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards (daily use of ESD and safety protective devices: eye protection, smock, and foot straps).
• Aids leadership by recommending improvements in test processes and debug techniques.
• Provides feedback to leadership regarding product flow and work sequence
• Documents improved debug techniques
• Provides training and mentorship to Test Operators
• Monitors production processes and test systems to decrease No Defects Found (NDF’s)
• Perform tester maintenance, up keep, and recommends improvements to test process.
• Troubleshoots operator problem successfully, works with leadership on training and process improvements.
• Provides training and mentorship to Test Operators and Technicians.
• Communicates technical information regarding Test with Test Engineers, Customers, and Account Management.
• Assists in defining experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
• Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas.
• Specifies additional equipment needs for the product debug areas and assists in the implementation and training of the equipment.
• Assumes full ownership of Test equipment, communicating problems/improvements as needed.
• Drives definition and implementation of experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.

8+ years experience in test/debug of more complex electronic assemblies to component level.

2 year technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
