Job Summary The Toolroom Technician maintains shop supply area to support operations of all departments maintains the tool crib and purchase all the tooling/supplies required and reviews set up tool list and setting up all tools for each job.

Qualifications / Education / Experience Receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and reports damage or wear to supervisors Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can Delivers tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck Marks and identifies tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool Orders tools and supplies Ensures that requisitions are complete Checks incoming materials and supplies Reports shortages Stocks shelves Delivers supplies to departments Maintains records, including data entry Posts receipts and withdrawals Provides information to employees to assist with decisions Maintains clean and safe work environment on the shop floor Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations Reports safety incidents to supervisor and follow-up Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes Contributes to 5 S programs Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers Performs other duties as assigned Participates in training/learning other positions Reviews transaction reports for correctness and acts independently to make any corrections that may be required
•2-5 years manufacturing, shop supply, tool room experience
•Personal computer skills, mainframe operations as relates to procurement, related software, and knowledge of purchasing/accounting processes required
•Ability to work with vendors, customers, and employees
•Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
•Must excel at working in a team environment
•Quality orientation and attention to detail
•Ability to handle multiple and frequently changing priorities
•Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability High School Diploma
