Provides support to the company with tool construction, repairs, maintenance and calibration for a CNC Machine Shop.Responsibilities:

•Use sketches, blueprints, specifications and models to plan operations for the fabrication of tools, ensuring safety and maximum efficiency.
•Study specification plans and blueprints to determine proper assembly, alignment and calibration of machines.
•Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they conform to specifications using dial indicators, gauge blocks, calipers and micrometers.
•Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts of tools and dies and to repair and modify gauges and jigs. File and grind and adjust parts as needed.
•Design templates and jigs to be used as work aids for convenient fabrication of products and parts.
•Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs on a variety of tools and jigs.
•Interface with external and internal customers, and work with team members to solve problems during the production process as well as new tooling design.
•Select the appropriate metals and materials to be used based on properties, ensuring they meet project specifications.
•Follow company safety and production regulations.

Tool re-grinding and re-sharpening

Strong Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to work with production and engineering teams
Good hand-eye coordination
Attention to detail
Willingness to share knowledge with others
Excellent technical skills, with the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot mechanical problems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Understanding of Lean principles and practices a plus
Basic CNC programming knowledge a plus
Experience with aerospace requirement a plus


10+ years of Tool Making experience;
High School Graduate or Equivalent
