Job Summary
Precision Machining Division Precision Technologies, a division of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. Precision Technologies, Concord, CA has an extensive capability in mechanical manufacturing. Our customers are leading Original Equipment Manufacturers who require exacting precision mechanical production capabilities. Our product lines include the, Semi Conductor, Healthcare Scientific Instrumentation, and complex electro-mechanical equipment. Our Capabilities Include: Our Capabilities Include: • Precision CNC 5-Axis Milling and Turning • Precision 5-Axis Grinding of Aerospace Turbine Engine Nozzles and Blades • Close Tolerance (Micron level) Instrumentation Grinding • Machining (EDM) NADCAP approved • Complex Mechanical assembly and test (Class 1K & 10K clean room) • Functional testing • Medium to Large Coordinate Measuring Capabilities
Essential Functions and Competencies
Strong organization and prioritization skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, as well as, presentation skills. Strong negotiation and problem solving skills. Manages and leads customers’ teams activities as primary day-to-day customer contact. Supports new product introduction activity including cost, pricing, and prototype activity. Manages New Production Team of 10 employees Works with customer(s), materials, and operations to manage build and delivery schedule. Reviews and Manages P&L Provides customer forecast information to master scheduling and to management for revenue and manpower planning. Supports quality, test, Engineering Change Order (ECO), materials and depot activity. Recovers costs for ECO activity, Non-Recurring Expenses (NRE) and miscellaneous. Resolves excess/obsolete inventory issues. Assists in resolving Accounts Receivable (A/R) issues as required. Assists in preparation to negotiate, manage, and update contracts. Communicates effectively with customer(s) and within factory. Leads, or assists in leading, business review meetings with BEI and customer. Seeks additional sales opportunities within customer(s). Manages multiple team tasks to include but not limited to continuous improvement programs, business analysis, quoting and pricing, contract reviews, change management, on-time delivery, inventory, and forecasting. Supports management team as needed with building customers’ relationships and business development, with forecasting and pricing strategies, with ensuring profitability, and with meeting business unit objectives. Provides centralized management over all business and technical aspects of a customer’ accounts. Manages customers’ concerns, corrective actions, and leads issues to completion. Develops an understanding of DFx philosophy and promotes it with customers and within the customer team. Provides customers with written corrective action to escalated issues. Works with Materials/Procurement to establish internal goals for annual inventory turns and reports actual turns regularly. Leads end of life program management to meet BEI and customer goals pertaining to product availability and component material planning, including working with engineering to determine alternate component solutions. Assists other team members as needed to ensure customers’ needs are met.
Qualifications / Education / Experience
Successful candidate will manage customers’ interface to achieve high customer satisfaction, profitable business relationships, and sales growth with new and existing customers, and provides strong team leadership of the customers’ teams to ensure internal and external customers’ needs are met. Works collaboratively with suppliers or customers with direction Will be able to take on project leadership/ownership. Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship-building, and project management. Leads or participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format. Available for travel up to 25% of the time, including day, overnight and international travel as required.

Sales Support in Manufacturing is highly desired. Must have intermediate level EXCEL experience and ability to demonstrate effective written communication (i.e. emails and reports)

4 year degree preferred in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or commensurate experience. MBA degree desirable. 3+ years program management experience. Experience with more complex larger accounts. Previous experience with CNC Machining preferably in the semiconductor industry
